Abstract SaskPower has undertaken the challenge of creating an innovation practice. The focus has been on investigating disruptive technologies relevant to the utility industry. Along the way there have been many lessons learned but the biggest one is how large data factors into these innovations! Speaker Bio With over 22 years of experience leading strategic & innovative technology transformations across various industry verticals, Giri Sankar is a results oriented and customer focused architecture leader partnering with business management and enabling them to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology. He is the chief architect for SaskPower and leading business-led innovations focused on leveraging disruptive technologies. He leads the effort of partnering with business management to understand business strategies and work with IT management in developing the SaskPower Technology Plan. Giri provides technology leadership to a group of enterprise architects focused on development of business capability models, architecture reference models, technology strategies, roadmaps and deliver solution options.
