ABSTRACT

The speaker's goal is to disrupt the silos of the Internet of Things by creating, using, and implementing open and interoperable standards and products for device-cloud communications and cloud-cloud communications.

PRESENTER

Steve Liang is chair and editor of several key standards in the OGC and the UN's ITU-T. He provides an open and unified way to connect devices, data, and applications that enable the Internet of Things over the Web.

As editor of the OGC Sensor Things API, he has introduced an IoT cloud API standard that has been widely implemented around the world for applications ranging from homeland security, and building energy management to environmental monitoring.
